Italian players will have the opportunity to showcase their skill set in front of the local crowd at the 2022 Florence Open, which runs from October 10 through the 16th and features an exciting draw with plenty of points and prize money on offer.
For the first time since 1994, the Florence Open returns to the ATP circuit with an ATP 250 event. The competition will take place on the indoor hard court at the Palazzo Wanny in Florence. Due to an injury, Jannik Sinner, the highest-ranked player on the entry list, withdrew from the competition, giving other Italians a chance to showcase their skills.
After Italians withdrawal, Felix Auger-Aliassime and another home player in the draw, Matteo Berrettini are top-seeded and will fight for the top prize of 250 points and $93,090. The runner-up gets 150 points and $54,300.
Players that get through the first round receive 20 points and $10,740 and all four players that lose in quarterfinals get 45 points and $18,495. All players competing at the 2022 Florence Open are awarded $6,565 but there are no points given for losing in the first round.
