Simona Halep is playing her best tennis once again and she showed it also at the WTA 1000 event in Toronto.

The experienced Romanian defeated Donna Vekic, Shuai Zhang, Jil Teichmann, Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula to reach the final where Beatriz Haddad Maia awaited her. However, that wasn't any problem for Simona Halep who was playing in a great form in Canada.

The match started very well for the Brazilian who led 3-0 in the first set. Then, Halep won six games in a row and stopped her opponent's momentum to take the first set 6-3 in 50 minutes.

Yet, in the second set Haddad Maia showed why she plays in the final. This time she got two breaks and she didn't lose them to win the second set 6-2 and force the decider.

In the third set, Halep showed her experience, she broke her opponent twice and despite also being broken once, she won the set 6-3 and after triumphing earlier this year in Melbourne, she won her second trophy of the season.
