Caroline Garcia took on Paula Badosa in the women's singles match of the tie between The Eagles and The Falcons.

A very interesting situation occurred in the opening mixed doubles match. Grigor Dimitrov and Aryna Sabalenka defeated Bianca Andreescu and Rohan Bopanna, but they earned fewer points for their team for the 2022 World Tennis League, due to winning fewer games, so The Eagles led after the first match despite losing it.

In the second match, the 2022 WTA Finals champion Caroline Garcia wanted to further increase the lead, and she succeeded in doing so. After being broken in the first game of the match, she immediately broke her opponent back, and for some time it appeared that the first set will have to be decided in a tie-break.

However, Garcia managed to get another break and win the first set 6-4. Badosa wanted to bounce back in the second set, and she started perfectly as she was the first player to break again.

But then, the French player managed to win 11 consecutive points and eventually, she won the match 6-4, 6-3 in an hour and 26 minutes.

By winning the match, she increased The Eagles' lead to 24-18, and Grigor Dimitrov will have a difficult job turning it around as he will face Nick Kyrgios in the last match. Initially, Novak Djokovic was supposed to play the Australian, but he had to withdraw the last minute.
