Aryna Sabalenka has already won her second Grand Slam title, but that doesn't mean that she now wants to stop, as she is determined to win even more.

The Belarusian is very used to winning. Ever since she came to tennis, she has been one of the players that had more wins than losses, even though early on, it didn't come mostly in singles.

Many forget that Sabalenka won Grand Slams in doubles before she won one in singles. She was number one in doubles before she was number one singles, so she's used to winning across all competitions.

It took a lot of time and work for things to fall into place in singles, but it did. In the last year and a half, Sabalenka has multiple trophies to her name, two of which are Grand Slam trophies.

She was number one on the WTA Tour during that period as well, and she's determined to keep that going. Keep fighting, keep working, and keep improving in the hopes of adding a lot more trophies in the future, as she said ahead of the 2024 Dubai Championships.

"My mindset is to keep doing what I'm doing, keep fighting, keep working. After my career, to look back and think, Whoa, I was able to achieve that. That's crazy."
"I'm not the type person that is going to win something and stop. Like I said, I'm addicted to wins. I felt like it's just something in my blood and I keep doing, keep working, and hopefully keep winning."

What Sabalenka described is just being ultra-competitive. Most great athletes have that in them, and it is what drives them to push harder than anybody else. It can also be a double-edged sword because it might backfire, so the key is to find a balance.

Sabalenka has seemingly found that balance which gives her the best of both worlds. Let's see how these next few months unfold. It looks very promising for Sabalenka.
