As the 2023 Bogota Open approaches, the WTA Entry List reveals a compelling mix of established players and rising stars eager to make their mark.
The tournament, held at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento in Colombia's capital, is expected to provide a great opportunity to lower-ranked players to showcase their qualities as there's a simultaneously played WTA 500 event in Charleston with a start-studded entry list.
Last year, Tatjana Maria lifted the trophy at the Bogota Open and she will defend her title in 2023. The home crowd favourite, Camila Osorio reached the semifinals and she was also supposed to compete this year, but she announced her withdrawal as she's struggling with an injury.
This year's competition sees the likes of Elise Mertens, Dayana Yastremska, and Nadia Podoroska sharing the stage with talented up-and-comers, setting the stage for some gripping matches.
Among the possible challengers, Kateryna Baindl is set to make her presence felt. Similarly, Nuria Parrizas Diaz, Kamilla Rakhimova, and Sara Sorribes Tormo are players to keep an eye on as they look to make their mark on the WTA Tour.
Many fans will be also happy to see veteran Sara Errani competing in Bogota. To see all names, be sure to check out the full entry list for the 2023 Bogota Open below.
