The world of tennis and Formula 1 witnessed a heartwarming moment as two of the most cherished players, Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro, enjoyed a reunion at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.

The pair, who share a special rivalry on the ATP Tour, were seen embracing each other before the race commenced. Their competitive history on the tennis court includes 25 tour-level matches, six of which were finals, with Federer securing 18 victories and Del Potro claiming seven.

The Hard Rock Stadium, which hosts the Miami Open, served as the venue for the popular motorsport race. Both Federer and Del Potro have expressed interest in Formula 1 in the past.

Federer attended the Spanish Grand Prix last year, where he spent time with racing stars like Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Del Potro, on the other hand, attended the Miami race the previous year and caught up with polesitter Sergio Perez just a day before this year's event.

The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix was an intense battle for the title, with Red Bull's Sergio Perez starting in the pole position. However, it was his teammate Max Verstappen who emerged victorious, fighting his way from ninth place to claim the top spot. Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin showcased his skill and expertise, securing a third-place finish.

Besides Federer and Del Potro, tennis royalty Serena and Venus Williams also graced the paddock in Miami. The presence of these sports icons not only highlighted the mutual admiration and camaraderie shared between tennis and Formula 1, but also underscored the global appeal of both sports.
