Andy Murray is in a race against time with Wimbledon only days away and his injury 'progressing but still not perfect'.

Murray ijured his abdominal in the Stuttgart Open final against Matteo Berrettini and the injury forced him to withdraw from his beloved Queen's club event. Murray has been working hard all season long to welcome Wimbledon in good form and he's been able to do that albeit not without an injury. Sharing a brief update on his condition, Murray admitted he's been practising a few days but it's not perfect.

The positives are I've been able to practise but there's some certain shots I've not been able to practise so it's obviously disrupted my preparations, not getting to play at Queen's and then some specific shots that I've not been able to train.

Murray further spoke about his injury saying that it's progressing which is a good sign but he also added a caveat of it being not perfect. It's obvious that the injury still bother him to a degree but its unclear whether it means that he won't be fully fit for the first match in Wimbledon.

The injury is healing but it's still not perfect. I've been able to practise the last three, four days, so I've got a decent amount of time on the court but it's not been ideal. I don't want to say exactly which shots I haven't been able to do but I'm sure you can work that out based on what the injury is. I've missed out on some of the stuff I'd have liked to do but hopefully in the next couple of days will hopefully improve and we will get back to normal preparations.
