Roger Federer won't be holding a racquet anymore but he won't be far away from tennis with many stations in a bidding war over the legend.

Federer has previously made a few comments that signal interest in becoming part of tennis media. He would especially be interested in being part of the Wimbledon coverage since it is the most-watched tennis event of the year.

Sue Barker, a former employee of the BBC who covered Wimbledon for 30 years, made a hint that the broadcaster was in contact with Federer, which made news in the tennis world.

Federer has not yet commented on the situation, but there is now another station being discussed as well. A Swiss television network (STF) reportedly wants to persuade Federer to work for them, according to reports from the country. They even acknowledged publicly after a press query:

"Every TV station in the world would be delighted to have Federer as a tennis expert, and for us as Switzerland's public service medium, of course, that's especially true."
