Novak Djokovic overcame an injury against Daniil Medvedev in the Adelaide semi-final admitting after the match it was only minor.

Djokovic gripped his upper leg late in the first set after one point, but he decided to continue the match. After a medical timeout, Djokovic was able to finish the first set and maintain his level to close it out in two sets.

“Thankfully it was nothing too serious. If it was, I wouldn’t be able to continue, so I just tried with [a] medical timeout, some anti-inflammatories and kind of settled in after a few games,” explained Djokovic after the match.

“I was just trying to keep the momentum going and [not] allow him to break my serve. I think that was the key, that eventually I would get a chance."

He played a really strong match overall but was greatly helped by Medvedev who had some questionable choices in crucial moments of the match. He hopes that he'll be able to play similarly tomorrow:

“I think the longer the match went, the more my hamstring was warmer and bothering me less, so hopefully for tomorrow it will be all fine.”
