Nick Kyrgios just can't stop winning in 2022 and the trend continues also at the US Open where he defeated already his third opponent, losing only 1 set along the way.

After reaching the Wimbledon final and winning his first title in three years in Washington, Nick Kyrgios suddenly became one of the 2022 US Open favourites. However, the draw wasn't really gracious to the 23rd-seeded Australian when he can possibly meet world number 1, Daniil Medvedev already in the fourth round of the tournament.

After defeating his good friend Thanasi Kokkinakis and Benjamin Bonzi, the 2022 Australian Open doubles champion took on J.J. Wolf in the third round of the tournament.

The Australian was the first player to have a break point and he used his chance well to go into the lead for the first time already in the fifth game of the first set. Despite facing a break point in the next game, he remained calm under pressure and eventually won the first set 6-4.

In the second set, the story was very similar. Kyrgios could use his chances when he converted both break point that he had, while his opponent couldn't use his chances and that resulted in a swift 6-2 win and a 2-0 lead in the match.

The American had even more break point in the third set, but the outcome didn't change. It was Kyrgios who again got two breaks and after an hour and 56 minutes he won the match 6-4, 6-2, 6-3.

In the next round, he will be facing winner of the match between Daniil Medvedev Yibing Wu. The Russian is defending his title from last year, but Kyrgios managed to beat him a few weeks ago in Montreal.
