Lleyton Hewitt knows a thing or two about playing spectacular tennis and the Australian was amazed by what Nadal was able to do at Roland Garros.

Obviously, Hewitt is not the only one and many have been in awe of what Nadal was able to do at Roland Garros especially considering the circumstances. Hewitt knows how tricky foot injuries can be and he actually believes it is one of the worst things to come back from.

The foot is probably one of the hardest things to come back from. And that’s what makes this last French Open so remarkable, even the Australian Open, how he was able to come back in that final because I don’t think he’s anywhere near 100 per cent physically.

Hewitt on Nadal's foot injury

Hewitt thinks Nadal will have a strong showing at Wimbledon because it would be crazy to doubt him but he's sceptical if he can really win it. For him, it's mostly about seeing Nadal continue to be great. Hewitt also thinks that Djokovic will be the favourite having won the previous three ones.

(Nadal’s lead) is probably not decisive but I don’t think Rafa’s thinking about that too much anyway. I think he’s just grateful he’s still able to go out there and play to the level he wants to play at, and it’s still good enough. We’re pretty fortunate that we’ve been able to see someone like Rafa play for so long so I think, every opportunity we get to watch him for however long it is, we should really appreciate it.
