After some solid ATP 250's tennis, we have a new rankings update with Daniil Medvedev one more week on the top.
The Russian is enjoying life as world number one as he was largely unbothered by not playing Wimbledon. He posted a photo of himself on the couch watching Formula One during the Wimbledon final and it's probably not a coincidence. The Russian will have to be careful though as he defends a large number of points in the next few months and Zverev is ready to take over.
It is Zverev who is number two despite not being able to play. A very unfortunate injury becomes more and more disappointing by the day as he is in pretty decent striking distance of the number one spot. Not far off is Rafael Nadal with very few points to defend in the North American swing a decent chance to snatch number one once more.
The rest of the top 10 include Tsitsipas at four, Ruud at 5, Alcaraz at 6, Djokovic at 7, Rublev at 8, Auger-Aliassime at 9 and Jannik Sinner at 10. There weren't any large chances as the top 20 remained unchanged. Francisco Cerundolo moved up 9 spots to 30 while Maxime Cressy moved up 8 to 33. Both of them won trophies yesterday.
