Just recently, Andy Murray reminded everyone of how good he is at coming back in matches that seem to be lost.

At the first major of the season, the Scot won two thrilling five-setters but ultimately lost in the third round. He changed his schedule a few times since then, eventually accepting a wild card for the 2023 Qatar Open in Doha.

In the first round of the tournament, the former world no. 1 took on Lorenzo Sonego from Italy, who was in search of his top form after a slow start of the season.

But the Italian started well against Murray. He broke his first serve in the match, and kept the advantage throughout the first set, to win it 6-4 in just 37 minutes.

But Murray was ready to respond. He broke his opponent's serve twice in the second set, and quickly gained a 5-0 lead, which he wouldn't lose. The Scot won the second set 6-1 in 36 minutes and forced the decider.

But things didn't go as planned for Murray in the third set. In the tenth game, he faced three match points and it seemed that it may be over for him. But the three-time Grand Slam champion showed his comeback mastery and forced a tie-break.

Once again, he had a terrible start to the tie-break, as Sonego managed to get two mini-breaks and led 3-0. However, Murray pulled out another come back, winning six points in a row and eventually using his second match point to win the match 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(4).

Up next, he will be facing a very difficult test as the fourth-seeded Alexander Zverev will want to regain his top form and beat the Scot.
