Carlos Alcaraz isn't very optimistic about his chances of beating
Novak Djokovic on the grass thinking
Nick Kyrgios has a better chance.
Alcaraz respects Kyrgios a lot generally and he showed that once more in his press conference ahead of the 2023 Cinch Championships at the Queen's Club putting Kyrgios in front of himself as a possible Djokovic-stopper at
Wimbledon.
Kyrgios himself does tend to agree with Alcaraz as he told reporters in Stuttgart that
nobody can stop Djokovic on grass if he doesn't. It's a bold statement by Kyrgios but it's also a needed one at a time when he faces so much doubt about his status.
It's hard as it is and Kyrgios gave it a fair shot last year but he ultimately didn't get it done. This year brings another chance but there is a lot of uncertainty. He had a really strong few events earlier in the year which allowed him to bring a lot of confidence to Wimbledon.
This year couldn't have been more different but
he seems to believe so who are we to doubt him.
