Novak Djokovic will take on Nick Kyrgios in the Wimbledon final today and it should in theory be a blast, but will it?
Tennis purists look away. This won't be easy on your eyes unless you actually focus on the tennis part. For most tennis fans this final is something straight out of a film script. Nobody a few years ago expected Nick Kyrgios to ever play in a Wimbledon final, let alone against the men whom he publicly mocked a couple of times.
Well, it's here, 14:00 UK time. It's a superb final, there is no question about it. Both of these players have done so well to play at this stage. Novak Djokovic has not lost at Wimbledon in ages for a long time and he's going for his 7th title. You don't need to add much more to paint the picture of his domination on the grass. Nick Kyrgios, well the bad boy of tennis is getting married soon.
He seems to have settled his priorities straight and interestingly enough, it did wonders for his tennis. He always had the potential for this because anybody who watched even a bit of tennis in their life could see that potential even as a teenager. It was time to grow up and he seemingly did. Did he grow up enough, we'll see today.
On the other hand, Novak Djokovic can win his 21st Grand Slam title and get one title closer to Rafael Nadal. Despite losing a set in many matches at this year's Wimbledon, the Serbian won the tournament every time since 2018 and he will try to extend this series against Nick Kyrgios in the final of the 2022 Wimbledon.
