Iga Swiatek just won the Roland Garros but the Polish player is staying busy and supplied with racquets thanks to Tecnifibre.
It's been a few good weeks for Iga Swiatek following a disappointing finish to her Italian Open campaign. She retired from a match, just days before Roland Garros leaving many fans in doubt about whether she'll play at the second Grand Slam of the season.
While dismissing any worry at the time, her coach admitted after the French Open that the injury forced them to consider withdrawing from the event but ultimately they opted to tough it out.
And she did, despite being two breaks down in the final against Muchova, the Polish number one emerged victorious winning her 4th Grand Slam trophy. It was a great moment for her, a great relief after what she described as the toughest grand slam campaign of her life.
A few days after that Swiatek flew to Mallorca where she participated in the graduation ceremony of the newest class of Rafa Nadal's Tennis Academy attendees. She sat alongside her idol Nadal and sent a new generation of players on their journey.
A day after that we have more Swiatek news as the racquet-making company Tecnifibre announced that they have extended their partnership with the WTA number one until 2026. In honour of the Pole's success, the company even changed its Twitter handle from Tecnifibre to Swiateknifibre. The player herself shared some thoughts in a video posted on social media by the company.
Hey guys, I am so happy to announce with Tecnifibre that we are prolonging our relationship. It's been so great to have this amazing product with me and amazing support from the Tecnifibre team. I really enjoyed my previous years and I am pretty sure we gonna have many more successes in the future.
A deal until 2026, and possibly a couple of more Grand Slams for the Polish player in the future. Her former coach has no doubt about that.
