Roger Federer was seen back on the tennis court, even with a racquet in his hand playing tennis, but not on the ATP Tour.

London’s courts were once again graced by the prowess of the Swiss Maestro, as he returned to the city but not for the 2023 Wimbledon. However, rather than at the prestigious SW19 courts, Federer makes his comeback at a refurbished public court in Greenwich, under the auspices of his Neon Legacy initiative.

This initiative, developed in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, aims to rebuild and improve tennis courts worldwide, with the first of these projects being the transformation of an existing court into a colourful "street court" in Bostall Gardens, London.

Although Federer, who turns 42 this year, retired from professional tennis, he maintains a significant presence in the sport. While Federer's return to the court has been a topic of much excitement, he also took the opportunity to commend Novak Djokovic on his recent achievements.

Djokovic, a fellow Big Three player, made history by securing his 23rd Grand Slam title at Roland Garros, a record in men's singles. Federer expressed his admiration for Djokovic's accomplishment, hailing it as "incredible" as reported by journalist Stuart Fraser.

And even though Djokovic made history and sprinted now already three majors ahead of Federer, who will never catch him up, unless he surprisingly comes out of retirement. seeing the 20-time Grand Slam champion back on the court made many fans happy.

Federer was hitting on the new tennis court, and in a good mood, he commented the game, saying: "Everybody playing good here, I like it."
