Stefanos Tsitsipas confirmed that he is dating fellow player Paula Badosa after rumors have been surrounding them in the past few days.
The Greek player has finally put an end to rumors about dating Badosa during an interview ahead of the 2023 Stuttgart Open, where he's set to compete. Talking to the German publication Bild, Tsitsipas revealed that the two were indeed dating.
It all started only about a week ago when the two matched their Spotify pictures and added some more hints that they were dating.
Shortly after, they created a joint Instagram profile, where they stated they are 'soulmates, nothing less and nothing more.' Now, Tsitsipas finally talked about their relationship.
"Yes, we are a couple. But not only. We are soulmates. Maybe that's how you should define it. It is very rare that you find your soulmate. If you ask Paula, she will tell you exactly the same thing."
After a disappointing loss to Carlos Alcaraz at the 2023 Roland Garros, the focus shifted from Tsitsipas' performance to his personal life, and he also had something to say about that.
"It's funny how the world works, isn't it? (laughs) Do I really have to say something about it? Does it look like that's not safe? I tell you the following: I have met many women in my life. And I can say that very confidently. I have never felt so attracted and found so much beauty and had an interest in a woman."
The World No. 5 then kept talking about Badosa, saying that the two are on the same wavelength and even elaborated on the funny nature of finding a soulmate. While both travel the world competing on the ATP and WTA Tours, they were right in front of each other all the time.
"Our mind is on the same wavelength, that is such a spiritual connection. We have good vibes together. That's such a nice experience. I don't think many people experience such a spiritual and soul-related nature with anyone. If you travel a lot around the world, you are looking for something like that. You think you'll find it somewhere in the world, but sometimes it's right in front of you."
The two have been really active on social media recently, so the Greek was asked if fans should expect more content from them, and more updates about their relationship.
"Expect more? We have so much fun, so many vibes together, we are so honest and open and just ourselves with each other. That's so rare to find! I myself am a private person, did not want to share too much about myself on social networks. I just never felt that it was necessary, especially in such relationships."
"But that's so much more fun than it feels wrong. I don't want to impose myself, but I wish more people would feel that way. I don't want to advertise there, but at the same time I wish people would feel inspired."
