Swiatek Still Leads Ahead Of Sabalenka & Rybakina In Latest WTA Rankings

Iga Swiatek hasn't played since Roland Garros but the Polish player still holds the same rank she held after she won the event.

Last year's undisputed number one isn't so clear of everyone anymore but she's still holding on at the top of the WTA Rankings. With a solid lead of 930 points, Swiatek is ahead of Aryna Sabalenka but things could change drastically after Wimbledon.

Sabalenka is a far better player on grass and is expected to make a deep run at the event which would earn her plenty of points. She didn't play last year due to the ban and Swiatek self-admittedly has ways to go on grass courts.

Another player that could be in the mix for number one is Elena Rybakina, however,r her Roland Garros run ended abruptly due to an illness that prevented her from getting too many points, so she's a long way behind Swiatek with almost a 4000-point deficit. But if the Kazakh continues to play well maybe she can put her name in the mix at the end of the year.

A Wimbledon triumph would bolster her chances considerably and she did win it last year. After those three, Caroline Garcia is ranked at 4, Jessica Pegula at 5, and Ons Jabeur at 6. Coco Gauff, Maria Sakkari, Petra Kvitova, and Beatriz Haddad Maia close out the Top 10. The biggest jumper this week is Katie Boulter who is up 49 spots following her maiden title run in Nottingham.

She made history by being part of the first all-British final since 1977 and her win returned her to the Top 100. There weren't too many drastic moves in the list but teenage phenom Mirra Andreeva is no longer in the Top 100. Expect her to return there swiftly if she manages to get a visa to play at Wimbledon.
