In the first round of the 2022 Wimbledon, Coco Gauff was as close as three points from losing the match against Gabriela-Elena Ruse.
The teenage sensation from the United States faced another Romanian player in the second round of the 2022 Wimbledon, Mihaela Buzarnescu. However, she couldn't trouble Coco Gauff as much as her fellow compatriot as the match ended in just 80 minutes.
It was a dominant performance by the young American especially on her serve. While in her previous match, she hit only 3 aces and 8 doubles faults, this time, she hit 10 aces and only 1 double fault what helped the overall result.
Throughout the match, Gauff didn't face any breakpoints and when she had some, she was ruthless. In the third set, she needed only three breakpoints to get two breaks what resulted in a quick 6-2 win.
In the second set, it took much longer until the fans on the Centre Court witnessed a breakpoint. Yet, Gauff got one in the eight game and she didn't miss and won the match 6-2, 6-3 in an hour and twenty minutes. In the next round, she will take on another American, Amanda Anisimova.
