Emma Raducanu Responds To Claims About Having Too Many Sponsorship Deals

by Zachary Wimer

Emma Raducanu is one of the most talented players on the WTA Tour, but also one of the most active when it comes to sponsorship deals.

After her 2021 US Open triumph, it seemed that almost every brand wanted to work with Raducanu. The Brit, of course, didn't take every deal that came her way, but with a massive interest in her name, it's clear why she has accumulated as many deals as she has right now.

Currently, Raducanu is sponsored by the likes of Dior, Porsche, Tiffany & Co, and many more. Some fans think that many responsibilities outside of the tennis courts contribute to Raducanu's struggles on the court, but she dismisses those claims.

Talking to BBC, the young Brit talked about her life outside of tennis. She mentions the "commercial sides," and according to Raducanu, many athletes probably wish that they would have done things differently when they were younger.

"Certain scenarios I'm still trying to get my bearings, it's not just tennis and fitness it's the other, it's the commercial sides as well and that's totally ok, because you have to think ahead about your life after your career is over and I think that a lot of the successful athletes would have said I wish maybe when I was younger I did think ahead a little bit."

Without a doubt, Raducanu is one of the most active players when it comes to sponsorships. Therefore, it's not a surprise that she was the 21st most marketable athlete in the world in 2023. Yet, the 2021 US Open champion reminds everyone that tennis and training remain her priority.

"I think I have a lot of bandwidth and knowledge and learning, so I'm just curious about everything and every different world I can get into, but at the end of the day tennis and training is my priority."
