The last time he lost a match was at the 2022 Halle Open where he lost to... Well, Stefanos Tsitsipas. And this time, the result was the same as the Greek reached his first grass-court final.
The world number 6 triumphed 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 34 minutes but he won the heart of the fans already in the first set. Bonzi was serving in the fourth game of the first set and he accidentally hit a ball girl with one of his serves.
At first, Tsitsipas didn't notice it and was ready to continue the play. But his opponent pointed to the ballgirl and the Greek didn't hesitate and took her to get some help from competent people at the tournament.
