Stefanos Tsitsipas was once a beloved player on the ATP Tour, but more recently, tennis fans have been turning their backs on him.

When Tsitsipas showed up on the ATP Tour, he was a super-talented player who was playing very bold tennis. He didn’t buckle under pressure and took it to some of the best players in the world.

It earned a lot of respect from both fellow players and fans, and the Greek became somewhat of a fan favorite. Having a YouTube channel where he posted videos made him only more relatable.

Things change, though, and in more recent years, Tsitsipas had a lot of fans turning back on him. Some of the things he did both on and off the court turned a lot of people off, but his social media persona has certainly not been looked at favorably more recently.

Tsitsipas started to share his thoughts on Twitter more often, but often it’s not really his thoughts. Oftentimes, it’s random quotes that are not attributed, which made some fans accuse him of plagiarizing.

Generally, it’s good manners to attribute a quote when using it, but that's something he's not done with his quotes. Most of those tweets serve the purpose of making him seem like a deep thinker in some way, but fans don’t like it.

He’s been called out on it before, but he’s not stopping it. He shared another one recently, and this time, fans didn’t like it. He wrote: "Just another day of not being rich and hot."

Some of the fan reactions on social media were very angry, as fans accused him of plagiarizing but also called him out on essentially being a multi-millionaire, having won almost $20 million in prize money during his tennis career, and saying he was not rich.

One of the fans said: "Just another tweet of you plagiarizing." Another one chimed in: "Says the 23-year-old multi-millionaire who looks like a Greek god." Most of the fans took issue with the part that talked about money, with another commenting: "Well, can I have your millions then?"
