The 2022 Australian Open doubles champion, Nick Kyrgios, is an avid basketball fan and player, and now he got a chance to show his skills at the NBL Celebrity Game.

The NBL Celebrity Game saw Team Fordham, captained by 2GB host Ben Fordham, face off against Team Perrottet, captained by the NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet. Nick Kyrgios was part of the Fordham team as he stole the night on the court when blocking the NSW Premier and captain of the other team, Perrottet.

Fordham's team included fellow celebrities such as Jo Healy, Dan Ewing, Matt Logue, Jamie Soward, and Shane Heal. On the other hand, in Team Perrottet, fans could see Jimmy Smith, Brad Rosen, Belinda Russell, or Maria Thattil.

The NBL Celebrity Game was more than just an exhibition match; it served as a platform for sports personalities to step out of their professional zones and engage with each other and fans in a different setting.

For Kyrgios, it was an opportunity to indulge in his second love, basketball, and he did so with the same flair and charisma that he brings to the tennis court. Interestingly, Kyrgios's performance at the NBL Celebrity Game goes beyond just showcasing his multi-sport talent.

It also highlights the growing trend of athletes who excel in multiple sports, emphasizing the importance of versatility in the world of professional athletics. In this regard, Kyrgios serves as an inspiration, proving that pursuing multiple interests can lead to extraordinary experiences and achievements.

While not many had experience with a proper game of basketball, it was very obvious that Kyrgios did, as he recorded 16 points and two blocks in just 20 minutes of play, while also entertaining the crowd. The young Australian was all around the court and showed that he was not there to play around.
