Tursunov shares his thoughts on Kyrgios selling out stadiums

Nick Kyrgios always highlighted the importance of showing his true self in tennis and he's largely lived up to his words.

The Australian is pretty open about who he is and what he has been through in life which has earned him a pretty special spot on the ATP Tour. Not many players are openly parading who they are as much as Kyrgios, and Tursunov feels like it's the reason why he's so popular.

Players are afraid to show their personality, to say their minds, because nowadays anything you say can be twisted. You say that, 'I played great today,' someone's going to say that, 'Oh, he sounds cocky, he's putting his opponent down.' So players in general are just afraid to be themselves.

None of that can be said for Kyrgios who openly talks about other players and what he likes or doesn't like in the sport. He's not shy to call out the governing bodies either if he feels like they are wrong and that's respectable if nothing else.

That's why I think Nick Kyrgios sells out every freaking stadium that he plays in because he hasn't been neutered enough. He's been fined enough, but he doesn't mind it. He's a very strong personality of you ask me.
