Stefanos Tsitsipas has one of the weirdest stats in ATP finals as he's unbeaten in all ATP 250 finals, while he's never won in an ATP 500 final.

Overall, the Greek played 15 final matches that were at an ATP 250 or 500 event. While he lost all 9 matches at ATP 500 events, he defeated all his opponents in the finals of ATP 250 tournaments and Holger Rune at the 2022 Stockholm Open will be his seventh ATP 250 final.

World no. 5 in the ATP Rankings, Stefanos Tsitsipas is yet to lose a set and after his good semifinal showing against Emil Ruusuvuori, he said:

“[It was] a great match from my side, I think I played very well,” said Tsitsipas after his semifinal victory. “I was really focused, [it was] one of the matches where I was really into the game and I was able to produce some really good tennis throughout the entire match, pretty much. I was there, I was very daring, I was really going for it, and it worked in my favour.”

Back in 2018, the Greek lifted his first ATP title in Stockholm when he defeated Ernest Gulbis in the final. Reflecting back on his first triumph, he said:

“I’ve created some good memories here,” said Tsitsipas. “2018 was the year that I got my first title here. Of course, I love good things in the back of my head. I’ve had some good interactions with the crowd, the people here are lovely, and I’m enjoying the Swedish hospitality.”

Tsitsipas also spoke about his final opponent. The Greek met Holger Rune in the fourth round of this year's Roland Garros and back then, it was the young Dane who was victorious.

“We are both big fighters,” said Tsitsipas. “I’m going to try to give my best out there on the court. Holger is someone that has been developing and doing well recently. We have played plenty of times against each other, more on the practice court, and I’m looking forward to that battle.”
