2022 ATP Season Summary:

The 2022 season started with a disaster for one of the legendary players. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer were all tied at 20 Grand Slam titles ahead of this season, and every one of them wanted to be the first one to win 21.

Many expected the showdown to happen at the Australian Open, however, Djokovic was deported from the country, making him unable to compete, and the same applied to him later in the year, when he wasn't able to enter the United States and compete at the US Open.

In his absence, two Spaniards thrived as Nadal won the first two majors, while Alcaraz won the last one, and also became the youngest-ever man to become the world no. 1 in the ATP Rankings.

But he wasn't the only player from the next generation that was doing well. Felix Auger-Aliassime won four titles, Holger Rune won three, and Lorenzo Musetti won two as well.

The likes of Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Daniil Medvedev kept winning, as they all remained in the Top 10 of the rankings.
