2021 ATP Season Summary:

The 2021 ATP season, even though still impacted by Covid-19, was an interesting one for multiple reasons. On one hand, Novak Djokovic won three majors, despite playing much less than rest of his rivals, but the youngsters were also able to step up at lower-tier tournaments.

No one managed to win more titles than Alexander Zverev, who won the Olympics, ATP Finals, two ATP Masters 1000, and two ATP 500 trophies. On the other hand, Casper Ruud dominated the ATP 250 level, winning five trophies in those tournaments.

Another young star, Jannik Sinner won four singles titles, and Hubert Hurkacz joined the list of up and coming players with three singles titles. One name that started already appearing on the Tour was also Carlos Alcaraz, who won his first title, but he was far from making it to the Top 10.

The rankings were still a bit unpredictable for some, as they were influenced by the previous freeze of the rankings, but things started getting to the old 52-week format that fans were used to.
