Novak Djokovic triumphed in Tel Aviv and became the first player this year to claim a trophy on every surface on the Tour.

The grass season is so brief that not many players have a chance to win a trophy on it, so this is not a particularly significant statistic but one that is interesting to notice. Djokovic hasn't exactly taken home the most awards this year; Carlos Alcaraz holds that distinction.

The Spaniard won a tour-leading 5 titles with three coming on clay and two on hard. He did not triumph on grass. Rafael Nadal is second on the leaderboard with four but he won three on hard and one memorable one on clay at Roland Garros.

Djokovic is 3rd on the list sharing it with Ruud and Rublev who also won three trophies in the year. Ruud won all of his on clay while Rublev won two on hard and one on clay. Djokovic now has a trophy on hard (Tel Aviv), clay (Rome Masters) and grass (Wimbledon). He however doesn't have a trophy on outdoor hard courts this year but he missed most of those events due to his unvaccinated status.
