The friendship that turned into the rivalry between Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic is well known, and recently it has been fueled by another comment.

The first Grand Slam of the season is right around the corner, and since it takes place in Australia, the organizers allocate a few wild cards to home players. Storm Sanders, Rinky Hijikata, Jason Kubler and Alexei Popyprin were a few of those that were chosen and only one more spot left for an Australian.

Discussing the 2023 Australian Open wild-cards, journalist Jose Morgado tweeted: "Some relevant Australian men will have to play qualies: Just *one* WC left (Thiem, an American, an Asian and a French have confirmed WCs) and some of the Australians set to play qualies are... Duckworth, Millman, Purcell."

Bernard Tomic is one of the Australian players that were also successful back in the day, but those are now long gone. However, he managed to win three M15 events to finish the season and some think he should make it to Melbourne.

One of the fans, who most probably noticed Tomic's form at recent M15 events, responded: "Surely Tomic deserves a wildcard?" Kyrgios noticed that and hilariously responded: "Hahahahaha NO HE DOESNT." His response was also liked by author of the initial tweet Jose Morgado.
