Jannik Sinner lead Novak Djokovic 2-0 at Wimbledon but the Serbian once more came back to win the match 3-2.

Sinner played his best Wimbledon ever this year proving that his game is suited for grass and that a lack of experience playing on the surface was to blame for his woes on the surface. The Italian was very close to beating Novak Djokovic leading him 2-0 after some brave and superb play however he fell victim to the comeback ability of Djokovic.

He became the latest player to squander a 2-0 lead over Djokovic but he certainly won't be the last one as the Serbian keeps breaking records and playing incredible tennis. Remembering that match, Sinner explained:

"I think about it, of course, and after a few days of bad temper, I tried to look at the positive side. Nole had to raise the level to the maximum, otherwise, it would have ended differently. In the end, it almost seems that I have collapsed, but no, it is he who has taken me to another dimension. I thought back to the defeat to Djokovic that I didn't collapse, but he entered another dimension. I'm growing up. And in New York, I want to go all the way."

Sinner is currently playing in Umag where he is in the semi-final and he hopes to go all the way and get a trophy. It's been a while for the Italian and he came close a couple of times this year. After that it's North America for Sinner where he hopes to pick up some much-needed points.
