Goran Ivanisevic is certain that Novak Djokovic can maintain his position atop the sport for at least another three years while competing for every title.
It's not insane to believe that Djokovic could remain similarly competitive given that guys like Federer have demonstrated a high level at ages 38 and 39. The Serbian is still going strong and is taking excellent care of his body avoiding major injuries so far in his career.
Speaking to Sportske Novosti, Ivanisevic confirmed his belief that Djokovic has at least three more years in him due to his dedication to his body: "He was always physically fit and that was never a problem, and if he stays like that, I am convinced that he could stay at the top or near the top for another three years and fight for all the titles."
The restart of the season for Djokovic brought more sensational performances as he was able to win back-to-back trophies in Tel Aviv and Astana. He spoke about his motivation for the rest of the season following the triumph: "I could not ask for a better re-start of the season. I’m super-pumped and motivated to end the season as well as I have done these past couple of weeks."
"Everything related to some kind of record is interesting to Novak" explained Ivasenivc confirming the hunger that Djokovic touted after Astana as well. "The question remains how much he will play and how long it will last, but at the moment he is in now, I am sure he could attack or influence those records as well."
