Mats Wilander has been thoroughly impressed by what Felix Auger-Aliassime has been able to do in recent weeks.

The Canadian player qualified for his first-ever appearance at the ATP Finals after competing in and winning three straight events. He will compete in the Paris Masters semi-final today for the opportunity to go to the final of a fourth straight competition, where he may meet another player that will take part at the year-end event, Novak Djokovic.

"Be very aware, when he’s playing, his serve is absolutely huge, his physicality is that of Novak Djokovic and maybe even a step above, and that doesn't come lightly out of my mouth because I’ve always thought Djokovic was the greatest athlete in any sport for the last six or seven years," explained Wilander during a talk with Eurosport.

The Swede continued to argue his point pointing out that the Canadian can push Djokovic physically which is incredible:

"But Felix Auger-Aliassime is right up there and would push Novak for his money in every department physically, and that’s unbelievable."

The match against Rune is set to start at 14:00 CET and should he win, he might face Novak Djokovic in the final and Wilander will be able to see whether he's right.
