British Billie Jean King Cup captain Anne Keothvaong believes Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper are crucial to a very bright future for British tennis.
In recent years, British tennis has seen somewhat of a surge, for a very long time, Andy Murray was the sole good player. With Jack Draper on the ATP tour and Emma Raducanu on the WTA tour, the nation is slowly producing more and more excellent athletes.
"We can be equally excited for Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu, they're both great prospects," said Keothavong adding:
"Emma has already shown us what she is about, she's already a Grand Slam champion. No one is taking that away from her."
As the British Team Captain for the Billie Jean King Cup, Keothavong was in constant contact with her and she expanded more on the difficult year she endured:
"This year is very difficult for her, but it was her first full year on tour and there is still a lot to learn. 2023 will be even better for her. We have seen what she is capable of, that doesn't just disappear overnight. She needs to be able to find her groove and be allowed to develop."
