'Doing His Thing, Pis**ng People Off': Roddick Wants To See Kyrgios Back On Court

| by Evita Mueller

Andy Roddick had some very nice parting words for Nick Kyrgios as they wrapped up the ATP Finals coverage for the Tennis Channel.

Roddick has been working as an analyst for the Tennis Channel for a very long time; however, this week was a particular delight for him as the team welcomed Nick Kyrgios.

The Australian did fairly well even though some growing pains were involved initially. Kyrgios served as both an in-studio analyst as well a match commentator, which was an interesting experience for him.

At the end of the week, former ATP world no. 1 Roddick had some very nice words for Kyrgios, though he admitted he prefers the Australian on a tennis court as opposed to a studio.

I'm in the minority here but I don't want to see him back at the Tennis Channel desk here because I'd rather see him on the court, doing his thing, you know, pis**ng people off left right and centre, being the human highlight show.

I want to let the beast out, we need to see the beast. I'd love working with you Nick. I wish you health going forward. We're always happy when you're on the court.

Most people would probably prefer Kyrgios on a tennis court, but he's yet to really find his way back after struggling with injuries for much of this year. There is a lot of uncertainty about his comeback to tennis because we don't really know what his status is.

It's supposed to happen in Australia in about two months but we don't know for certain as several reports suggested that it's likely not going to happen at the 2024 Australian Open.

The hope is that he does return as soon as possible because tennis is simply better with Kyrgios playing. It's been a long time since we last saw him play.
