Denis Shapovalov played at the Queen's Club this week but he was left deeply disappointed by some of their policies.

Denis Shapovalov played at Queen's this week losing to Tommy Paul early in the event. A couple of days after he took to social media to blast the event for what he considers questionable policies. The longstanding tennis club in West Kensington, London is over 100 years old and has held a men's tennis event for a very long time.

Players count the event as one of the most popular events of the year with the courts and facilities being in superb condition. The venue never hosted a WTA event and Shapovalov's rant is based upon a similar thing. In an Instagram story, Denis wrote:

"Ironic that Queen's Club itself is named after a powerful and extraordinary woman, yet it's openly discriminating against professional female tennis players by not allowing them to train at the club when they need somewhere to prepare for Wimbledon. Time for a review of this policy."

Shapovalov tagged the post with equality and gender equality clearly highlighting what he thinks is very hypocritical. He might have a point but it seems like the private club is a men's only club hence why it never held a WTA event either. It's unclear who the player who got refused is but it might be his girlfriend Mirjam Bjorklund.

What do you think. Is is time to drop these policies? Tell us below.

Do you agree with Shapovalov?
