After defeating James Duckworth in the first round, Andy Murray was hoping to continue his journey at the 2022 Wimbledon as he faced John Isner in the second round.
The game plan for the experienced Scot was simple. Stay solid on the serve and don't make mistakes in the tie-break. However, Andy Murray couldn't do this in the first two sets of his second-round match at the 2022 Wimbledon.
Former world number 1 got broken already during his second serve game of the match and the result of the first set was inevitable as Isner lost only 6 points on his serve in the set and won it 6-4.
In the second set, Murray avoided breakpoints, but this time, he didn't handle the pressure in the tie-break and lost it 7-4. There were no breakpoints also in the second set, but this time, the home-crowd favourite won the set 7-3 in the tie-break and it seemed that the come back might be real.
However, Isner didn't stop hitting aces also in the fourth set, and Murray stumbled on his service game in the fifth set and couldn't break the tall American back as he lost the match 4-6, 6-7(4), 7-6(3), 4-6.
