The event in Adelaide is one with a long tradition, but Adelaide International 2 will be held only for the second time.

After success of the tournament in Adelaide, which is now referred to as Adelaide International 1, another one has been added and it will be held from January 9th until 14. The only winner of this event is Thanasi Kokkinakis, who won in 2022, but he isn't on the entry list.

The Australian may still receive a wild-card, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he appears in Adelaide as his doubles partner and good friend Nick Kyrgios was one of the players that headlined the event. However, he had to withdraw from the event because of an injury as he wanted to focus on the first major of the season.

Russians Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov, and Spaniards Pablo Carreno Busta and Roberto Bautista Agut will be some of the top contenders at the event. Daniel Evans, Miomir Kecmanovic and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina will all hope to start the year with a good result.

The 2023 Adelaide International 2 will be also attended by young Americans Tommy Paul and Sebastian Korda but also the 2022 Next Gen ATP Finals champion Brandon Nakashima.
