Nick Kyrgios and Naomi Osaka are some of the most recognizable names in tennis and Coco Gauff lauded their impact of the sport.
Because Kyrgios makes a difference in the game of tennis in a way that few other players do, John McEnroe has frequently discussed the significance of him doing well. Despite not being the best or the number one player, Kyrgios consistently draws large crowds and his name is rarely out of the spotlight.
The same can be said for Osaka who has been a top earner for many years thanks to her large following on social media.
"Nick doesn’t worry about what people say about him. Naomi isn’t catering her career to other people’s opinions. They’re waking the sport up, including myself, and I admire them so much for what they’ve done," said Gauff about the duo to Essentially Sports.
Gauff talks with both players, and she further disclosed that Osaka was the first to get in touch with her after her success at Roland Garros. She admires them both for their accomplishments both on and off the court.
