Serena Williams is playing her best tennis in the past 12 months and in the third round of the 2022 US Open, she will take on Ajla Tomljanovic.
Despite the 23-time Grand Slam champion playing unbelievable tennis in her second round match against the second-seeded Anett Kontaveit, some fans seemed to focus on different things. According to many viewers, Serena Williams appears to be pregnant and they think the 40-years-old American will announce it shortly after she announces the retirement.
Some of the fans stated: "Saying it for records.... Serena Williams is pregnant right now."
"Serena Williams is pregnant, she's trying to hide it."
"Is Serena Williams pregnant? Do I spy a bump under all those sparkles?"
It wouldn't be the first time that Serena Williams competed at the Grand Slam tournament pregnant. During her last Grand Slam triumph, at the 2017 Australian Open, she was 2-months pregnant with her daughter Olympia.
“I'm here. I'm having fun and I'm enjoying it. Honestly, I've had so many tough matches the last I don't know how long that I just feel like just being prepared for everyone that I play is just going to be really, really difficult. Get through those moments," Williams said after the match.
"But here it's different. I feel like I've already won, figuratively, mentally. It's just pretty awesome the things that I've done. I never accept that. I never think about it. So tonight I was just like, ‘Serena, you've already won, just play, be Serena. You're better than this.’ That's what I was able to do," said Serena Williams.
