Swiatek concluded an amazing week in Doha with another brilliant performance in the final beating Pegula in straight sets.

It was a record-setting week for her as she won an event with the least amount of games lost at 5. She also defended her trophy by going back to back in Doha which is very hard to do in tennis. Overall, just a much better display than what it looked like at the start of the year.

I'm really happy that I could kind of find more balance, comparing to how I felt at the beginning of the season. I think this tournament is going to give me a lot of confidence, but still, I want to take everything step by step. I'm just really happy that I could win this match today.

Winning this match took some guts from Swiatek because she already played and lost to Pegula this year. It required a lot of focus and she was to play a match fully focused from start to finish.

Every game I was really focused, and that's the thing I'm most happy about, because at the beginning of the season I felt like my mind was kind of flying away sometimes. But here, the work we have put in with my coach on court and with Daria off the court, for sure, it just paid off, and I felt like everything is clicking.
