Bjorn Borg got to see how Rafael Nadal operates up close during the Laver Cup, and he was stunned by his work ethic.

Nadal's dedication to tennis is legendary, but even Borg, who knew about it, was stunned when he saw it in person. The Swede got a chance to witness the Spaniard's dedication during the 2022 Laver Cup in London, where he served as Team Europe captain, with Nadal competing.

The former player talked about Nadal during his recent appearance in Chennai, India, where his son, Leo Borg, competed at an ATP Challenger event, noting how much time Nadal spends on the court. Borg has never seen anything like it.

"We used to spend five or six hours a day practicing. At the Laver Cup, they used to open the courts at 6 am because Rafa would just serve for an hour before he actually started practice."
"I have never seen a player spend so much time on a tennis court. He's one of the greats; he commits so much time to his game. It's unbelievable."

Borg also briefly mentioned Novak Djokovic in his talk, explaining the Serbian player's hunger for success. Djokovic took part in the 2022 Laver Cup edition of the event as well, and Borg was able to see how seriously he approached the game.

Seeing Djokovic close up convinced Borg that the Serbian player still has a few more good years left. According to the former Swedish player, Djokovic can still win more major titles, which is something he aspires to do.

"Djokovic is fit and he's eager to play. He has three to five more very good years of tennis in him. He wants to break all the records and set new records. I think he'll win a few more Grand Slams. I wish him the best."
