Alexander Zverev isn't able to compete for the German Davis Cup team during the group stages in Hamburg, but he still tries to help.
After a horrific injury at the Roland Garros, everything looked fine for Alexander Zverev at the Davis Cup, until another injury showed up and kept him away from playing. When describing it, the German said: "I have a bone edema issue which causes me quite a lot of pain. I don’t know if it happened yesterday or not but yesterday in practice with Oscar [Otte] it got to the point where I couldn’t run or walk anymore."
In Group C of the 2022 Davis Cup, Australia and Germany both won their first two ties and they will meet on Sunday to decide who's going to win the group. But before that, Thanasi Kokkinakis was doing an interview where he was trying to explain what number 104 on his jacket means.
"104 means that I'm 104th player from Australia who represents Australian Davis Cup. So it's pretty special, a lot of players have it tattooed on them."
When Alexander Zverev intercepted the Australian by putting a snack directly in his mouth, saying: "I think you should have a bite." To what Kokkinakis replied: "Oh that's unbelievable. He's trying to fatten me up before Germany, huh?"
