Novak Djokovic almost hit a ball boy with his racquet during his 2022 Serbia Open final match against Andrey Rublev, which the Russian won.

Unwanted tennis scenes happened in Belgrade yesterday during the final between Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev. The Serbian has been quite emotional all week long, and for a very good reason as it's been a very tough season so far for him.

During one rally, Djokovic's racquet flew dangerously out of his hands towards the net, almost hitting a ball boy waiting to pick up the balls situated near the net.

The primary angle of the camera doesn't show whether Djokovic threw the racquet or it flew out of his hand, but he did not get a code violation. However, another one showed that the racquet slipped from his hand, almost hitting the ball boy.

The Serbian is somewhat known for the occasional emotional outburst on the court, and racquet throws are not uncommon for him. Some of the more high-profile incidents he was involved in include the US Open default when he hit a line judge with a ball and a famous racquet throw during the Olympics last year.

He threw it into the stands and never collected it during his match against Alexander Zverev. The video also doesn't seem to indicate Djokovic apologizing to the kid, even though he did say something when the ball boy gave him back the racquet.

Djokovic did not offer a comment after the match either, but it seemed like a very unlucky moment, on top of the fact that Djokovic was bested by a very good Rublev in the final match. Now, the Serbian will again focus on his tennis with an aim to peak at the 2022 Roland Garros.

Another angle shows, that racquet slipped out of Djokovic's hand:
