The Kooyong Classic has been a longstanding tennis exhibition played ahead of the Australian Open, and the upcoming edition will feature some big names such as Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, and Casper Ruud.

The Kooyong Exhibition has been a longstanding exhibition event in Melbourne since 1988. The exhibition has been held 32 times so far, with the most recent one being held last year. It was the first since 2019 as the exhibition wasn't played during the pandemic.

It's always been an event that drew big names to it as players such as Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and others that participated. It's just a great way to get a feel for what tennis in Melbourne might look like before the eventual Australian Open that follows a few days later.

This upcoming 2024 edition will not be short of any big names. Jannik Sinner is among those who have already signed up to play at the event, as are Holger Rune and Casper Ruud.

They won't be the only players playing at the event, as the full field includes 12 players.

The full list of participants includes Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, Casper Ruud, Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, Frances Tiafoe, Karen Khachanov, Zhizhen Zhang, Dominic Thiem, Marin Cilic, Milos Raonic, and Marc Polmans.

The exhibition will run from January 12th till the 14th at the Kooyong Stadium, not far from Melbourne Park, where the Australian Open will be played. The announcement came on the social media page of the event, which announced the full list of participants along with the venue and dates.

Make sure not to miss out on this event in Kooyong. It's a good warm-up for the first Grand Slam of the season, the Australian Open, which will be played a few days later, not far from where the exhibition is held.
