Many tennis experts agree that Novak Djokovic still has a good amount of time left with his coach Goran Ivanisevic saying it's 'years'.
Novak Djokovic dominated his way to a 10th Australian Open trophy nearly two months ago and he did with an injured leg. It was proof that at his best the Serbian is by far the best player in the world and it's not even close. It's a good spot to be for him as he continues to add to his already ridiculous resume.
I am sure that he can go on for a few more years – two, three, four, I can’t put an exact number on it. His body is in perfect shape because he takes care of it so meticulously, he is always introducing something fresh into his regime. I mean, he won seven matches in Melbourne with half a leg, playing the way he played. His tennis keeps getting better and this is not just my opinion as his coach.
As the former player explained, Djokovic takes immaculate care of his body and it's showing on the court. He is as quick and flexible as players who are almost twice his age or at least a good decade younger than him. Ivanisevic talked about that as well, how players much younger than him simply can't keep up athletically.
Tennis commentators have noted the same and, most importantly, so have fellow players. When they say that they didn’t have a chance, that Novak’s shots were just too deep, that there was nothing they could have done… Those guys are 15 years younger than him and still can’t handle Novak when he is mentally ready. He is just too strong.
Nobody knows how long he will play but Ivanisevic provided insigh that he'll keep going as long as he enjoys doing it and is motivated enough. He spends lots of time with him so he should know better than most.
