Daniil Medvedev recently became a father for the first time and he shared his impressions of it ahead of Vienna.

This week, Daniil Medvedev will be in action in Vienna as the Russian aims to close the year on a successful note. He participated in the final matches in Turin and Paris last year, but he lost both of them. It will be his first time playing after becoming a father.

"Lot of emotions I thought I was not able to feel. I was not able to feel. Not able to feel like this because I am quite a cold person, and then I felt so many good emotions that 'wow.

I'm a sensible person. I can be a sensible person.' Lot of calm. Lot of good feelings."

In his final competition before Vienna, Medvedev came close to defeating Novak Djokovic in Astana a few weeks ago. At the beginning of the third set, he was forced to leave the match due to a muscular injury. His previous best result in Vienna was in 2020 when he played in the quarter-final.
