Many athletes are aware that they are playing mostly for fans that support them and so is Casper Ruud, who made a beautiful gesture ahead of his final clash against Novak Djokovic.

The 23-years-old Norwegian played one of the biggest matches of his career against Novak Djokovic in a final matchup of the ATP season. Casper Ruud took on the 21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in the 2022 ATP Finals final and one of the fans will certainly remember this match thanks to world no. 3.

One of Ruud's fans, Tommaso Giuliani, shared a beautiful story on his Twitter about how he got tickets to his final match. He enclosed that he's been in touch with the Norwegian since 2017, when he was out of Top 200 in the ATP Rankings and that they communicate every now and then.

He shared the story on his Twitter with a caption stating: "24 hours of nonsense. No words can explain what you made me live. Thanks Casper and Thanks Turin, see you soon."

The fan also shared a screenshot of his conversation with Ruud on Instagram, as the Norwegian made him happy by texting: "We will leave a ticket in Welcome Arena in your name."

Providing more details on how the fan got in touch with world no. 3, he wrote: "A social friendship was born in 2017 and we have always kept in touch, but he is truly spectacular, all thanks to him."
