During a Twitter discussion about Canada's participation in the Davis Cup, Mardy Fish made fun of Andy Roddick's golfing abilities.

After Canada received what amounted to a wild card into the qualifiers despite losing in the first round, Andy Roddick questioned the country's legitimacy if they end up winning the Davis Cup Finals. Russia was replaced by this nation in the competition after being eliminated owing to the conflict in Ukraine and Roddick pointed it out on Twitter.

Fish would engage in the conversation as well and when a fan asked whether something like this is common, the US Davis Cup Team Captain took a chance to make fun of Roddick's golfing skills:

"As common as Andy beating me on the golf course"

It was a playful way to point out that something like this did not happen before and Fish doubled down on his earlier take that he would refuse such an invitation. Either way, Canada qualified and they aren't going anywhere. If they bring their full team, they might even win it.
