Carlos Alcaraz is playing with a great form at the 2023 Miami Open as he defeated already his second opponent, moving into the fourth round.

In the second round, the 19-year-old defeated Facundo Bagnis from Argentina, losing only two games in that match. After the match, Alcaraz spoke about difficulties with adjusting to different conditions but those were not a problem for him in the third-round match against Dusan Lajovic.

A few days ago, the Spaniard watched Miami Heat's game against New York Knicks and met players Jimmy Butler and Dwayne Wade. Therefore, it was not a surprise that Butler visited the Hard Rock Stadium to watch the teenager play against former world no. 23 from Serbia.

In the past, the two met already three times, with Alcaraz winning all three matches and never allowing his opponent to win a set. This year, he beat Lajovic twice on clay but it was their first meeting on the hard court.

In the first set, World No. 1 used experience from the previous meetings and set the tone from the beginning. He broke his opponent in the first game and after saving a break point in the next game, he added two more breaks and dominated the first set. After only 32 minutes, Alcaraz bageled his opponents and won the first set 6-0.

Lajovic managed to win his first game in the second set, but that didn't stop his opponent from breaking in the next game and enjoying a lead in the set once again.

However, this time, the Spaniard couldn't keep his lead and Lajovic broke back to force a tie-break in the second set. But Alcaraz proved to be the better player once again, winning the tie-break 7-5 and advancing to the next round.

In the fourth round, the top seed will take on the 16th-seeded Tommy Paul, who had no problems against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina earlier on the day.
